General Facts about the CAR-Symposium

The history of the CAR-Symposium goes back to the year 2000 when it took place for the first time in the canteen of the University of Applied Science in Recklinghausen, Germany.

Taking place every year, soon the canteen became too small and the location changed to the RuhrCongress in Bochum, Germany. Since then, it has grown up to a huge congress with more than 1.000 participants and supported by more than 100 partner companies each year. The list of prominent Keynote-Speakers is as long as the tradition of the German CAR-Symposium.

It comprises Dr. Dieter Zetsche, Dr. Norbert Reithofer, Dr. Wolfgang Bernhard, Carlos Ghosn, Rupert Stadler, Dr.-Ing. e. h. Bernd Pischetsrieder, Andreas Rentschler, Frank Stronach, Maria-Elisabeth Schaeffler and many more.
